Privacy policy and copyright information for USING the ETID database

In order to enjoy full access to all parts of the Exhibitions on Tour International Database we ask that you register with us. User registration is free of charge. Registered users can store their favourite entries for easy retrieval in the future, and can submit their projects for inclusion.
ETID will not pass your information on to third parties and will use it for internal purposes only and for sending you our quarterly electronic newsletter.
To cancel your user account, all you need to do is send an e-mail with your request and we will immediately delete your personal information from our files.
The content of the database remains the copyright of the institutions that submitted the entries and uploaded the related files. The ETID website is copyright of CARD Association of Curators and Artists. You are not allowed to copy and distribute information provided by this database to third parties.

Terms and Conditions for SUBMITTING AN EXHIBITION to ETID

General conditions
To submit a new exhibition project to ETID, you must first register as a user.
Exhibitions (group shows = curated group exhibitions, other curated projects) may be submitted by public, private, governmental or non-governmental institutions or organizations that organized the original exhibition, or by curators or other individuals authorized to do so by the exhibition’s producer.
Solo shows (= solo exhibitions by one single artist) can be submitted by artists as well.
Only exhibition projects that are currently in preparation or have already been shown can be registered.
ETID is also open to multidisciplinary and alternative forms of exhibition projects. We only require that the information provided is as accurate as possible and in English (exhibition title both in English and original version).
Contributors are also required to place the ETID web link on the website of their project or institution as follows: “This exhibition has been listed in the Exhibitions on Tour International Database, www.exhibitionsontour.org.”

How to join
1. For organizations - Annual full service membership
Price: 250 euros per year; unlimited number of projects published by your organization; full-service care – send us your information, and we will create and update your exhibition profiles; guaranteed place in the ETID quarterly newsletter.

2. For organizations, curators, and artists - Single project submission
Price: 70 euros per project; create your project profile online; update your project profile anytime.

Conditions for admission
Before your project is admitted to the ETID database, our staff will check the accuracy of your entry. ETID may contact you for additional information. ETID reserves the right to refuse to list a project in its database.

Copyright conditions
The individual entries are the copyright of the institution which submitted the project. Each contributor is responsible for the accuracy of the information published in the database, as well as any possible copyright infringements that might result from publishing images or text materials. ETID will not pass on any information to third parties in any way other than by publishing it on this website.

Period of validity
The entry will be displayed in the database for the full duration of the exhibition’s given availability, or until you send a request to update or delete it. We will update or delete your entry within 5 working days after receiving your e-mail request. If your entry is still active after 3 years from the date of submission our staff will notify you to prolong the validity. If you opt not to prolong the posting, the entry will be deleted after one month from the date of notification.

Submission Fee
Annual Membership is 250 euros; Submission Fee for single exhibition projects is 70 euros.

Payment details
The Annual Membership or Submission Fee can be paid online via PayPal, or online by payment card, or via bank transfer. Payments are due 15 days after receipt of the invoice.
If you pay online via PayPal or by payment card, you pay only the Submission Fee of 70 euros.
If you pay via bank transfer, an Administrative Fee of 10 euros will be charged as well.
Institutions residing in the EU are charged Value Added Tax at the rate of 20% of the invoiced amount.

Cancellation details
Once you agree to the conditions and order our service, ETID will post your entry in the database.
If payment of the Submission Fee is not made on time, your entry will be deleted from the database and you will be charged a cancellation fee of 40 euros, which you are obliged to pay within 15 days of receipt of the invoice.
If you then choose to re-submit the project to the database, you must go back to the beginning of the submission process.

Legal conditions
By sending your online Exhibition Submission and Order Form, your institution agrees to the Terms and Conditions outlined in this document and enters into an agreement with the ETID business representative specified below for the single-entry publication of your project in ETID’s online database. For terms and conditions not specifically outlined in this agreement, the Commercial Code and Copyright Act of the Czech Republic shall apply.

If you wish to fill in the form OFFLINE, please download its .doc version. Filled in form please send as an attachement to info@exhibitionsontour.org.

(You can always edit your entry, so there is no need to worry that you might have forgotten some important fact or that you might make a mistake. After submitting your information, you will be asked to double-check the information in order to make sure that it is displayed correctly. To make any later changes to your entry, all you need to do is send us an e-mail and we will immediately perform the necessary changes.)
